Hungry Children

How can we sit here watching

Or listening to their cries,

Seeing what hunger does to them

Watch the suffering in their eyes.



"Times are hard for us" you say

An extra buck is hard to find.

The price of a smoke or bottle of beer

Could food in ones tummy find.



Their suffering is so very great,

I think they'll surely die,

Searching for food in garbage piles

Just so they'll survive.



Little children don't you cry

We will surly find away

To help to fill those tummies

So you'll live another day.
